A new national survey has revealed that few tradies will put down the tools over the Christmas and New Years break.
With the festive season approaching, a survey from hipages has reported that 64 per cent of tradies feel as though taking time off over the Christmas period feels “near impossible”.
The survey also reported that less than half (49 per cent) of Australian tradies have taken more than a week off in the past year.
The survey highlights key barriers holding tradies back
- Their business not being able to operate without them (40 per cent)
- Being unable to afford the cost of a holiday (38 per cent)
- Losing clients (37 per cent)
- Not having time to take leave (36 per cent)
- Needing to invest their money back into the business (26 per cent)
