A Weld Australia member has marked a massive milestone in becoming the 100th company to achieve certification to AS/NZS ISO 3834 Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials.

WA-based Griffin Marine Services as the latest qualifying company to gain the AS/NZS ISO 2324 certification aimed at advancing quality, safety, and productivity across Australia’s manufacturing and fabrication sectors.

The certificate also opens doors to global supply chain opportunities, and enables companies to compete on the world stage according to Weld Australia.

CEO of Weld Australia Geoff Crittenden said achieving this certification demonstrated Griffin Marine Services’ commitment to excellence.

“It is more than just a badge of quality; it is an assurance that products meet rigorous international standards, which is crucial for public safety and the reliability of infrastructure,” he said.

The benefits of the certification extend to the public, with weld quality being crucial in building safe and reliable infrastructure, Crittenden said.
By ensuring the highest quality in welding, certified companies can contribute to the safety and durability of infrastructure, including bridges, buildings, and vehicles.

“The public can rest assured knowing that projects delivered by AS/NZS ISO 3834 certified companies are built to last, and will stand the test of time.”
