If there’s one things tradies love, it’s a good surf.
If there’s another thing tradies love, it’s competition.
WorkSafe Victoria and Surfing Victoria have once again combined the two for their WorkSafe Tradies Surf Challenge in October.
The event is being held at URBNSURF – Australia’s first wave park.

“The camaraderie and conversations that come from events such as this help to increase awareness and concern for each other’s safety on the worksite,” WorkSafe VIC External Affairs Executive Director Mr Jenkin said.
“WorkSafe has sponsored the Tradies Surf Challenge for six years now, and it’s an opportunity to promote safer workplaces that we’re really proud of.”
There’ll be competitions for open mens, open womens, masters and our favourite: open bodyboard.
There’ll be prizes on offer from WorkSafe Victoria, Heaps Normal and Milwaukee Tools.
“We are stoked to be heading back to URBNSURF for the WorkSafe Tradies Challenge,” Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson said.
“We know that there are a lot of surfing tradies out there across the state and this is a great way for them to catch up and get involved in a fun day of waves at URBNSURF.”
