Trendy tradies balancing peak style and safety need look no further than the Navigator™ X.
This latest range of safety sunnies combines some of the best safety tech out there with cutting-edge design.
It doesn’t feel like long ago that tradies roamed worksites with clunky, ugly safety glasses.
As years have gone by, safety eyewear brands have focussed on making glasses lighter, more comfortable, safer and ultimately more stylish.
Safe Sunnies teamed up with Riley Eyewear to deliver on all of the above with the latest Navigator™ X range of safety glasses.
Nathan ‘Nath’ Dowell from Nudg1e Constructions wrangled us a few of his tradie mates to model this extensive range on-site for this Tough Test.
Test #1: A different lens
The Navigator™ X range is built to handle tough conditions just like their wearers, and are built to the highest safety standards.
As soon as Nath slid a pair on, he could tell the make quality and protection he was getting were next level.
“I can’t complain, these glasses are awesome,” he said.
“These sunnies are anti-fog, which is very noticeable, they haven’t fogged up once in the week I’ve been testing them.
“They’re also anti-scratch too which I’ve noticed – [I] haven’t seen a single scratch on them this week.”
Both the anti-fog and anti-scratch factors are thanks to Riley Eyewear’s FlowTec™ dual lens coating, which protect the wearer’s eyes from some of the toughest industrial and hazardous conditions.
This special coating also provides 100 per cent UVA and UVB coverage, ensuring tradies have clear vision no matter how bright it gets.
While Nath said the glasses were super comfy to wear, he said they were still super secure thanks to the rubber ends on the arms as well as the nosepiece.
“I can wear them all day, and they don’t slide at all,” he said.
“Other brands have plastic nose tips, and they can make my nose sore. The rubber is great at keeping the glasses from slipping.”
Test #2: How do I look?
One thing Nath couldn’t get over was just how awesome the Navigator™ Xs looked on-site.
“I love the purple HD ones, there’s nothing like them on the market – they’re bloody beautiful,” he said.
For some tradies, it’s all about the aesthetics. Thankfully, the Navigator™ X range is teeming with options to cater for every look.
While Nath loved the purple tinted sunnies, his team tried the clear lenses and blue lensed glasses with great results.
“I’m 100 per cent gonna replace my current pair of safety glasses with a pair of Navigator™ Xs,” he said.
Not only are they stylish, but environmentally friendly too.
The Navigator™ X range frames are made from bio-based materials such as plants.
Sturdy and stylish
Tradies no longer need to choose between safety and style thanks to the Navigator™ X range.
Nath and his team loved how each Navigator™ X pair looked great, while providing a comfortable and safe experience throughout wearing them.
Prepare to throw out those poorly made, scratched up glasses made from cheap plastic and pick up a pair of Navigator™ Xs.
