TEST #1: PINPOINT ACCURACY
Angus drills into ceramics for a few reasons including bathroom renos, but 90 per cent of the time it’s to install doorstops.
“If you’re putting in a door, you want to be able to put in a doorstop. You can’t always go through the skirting board because there’s cupboards or something,” he said.
For this, accuracy is crucial.
“You get one chance with them, so when we do them we always need to use brand new bits every time,” he said. “Otherwise, you’re buggered. You have to ring the tiler to come back and do it again.”

“I would probably grab the smaller bit out of the packet to start with,” Angus said.
“I used 6mm and then went to 8mm, but I reckon you should start with 3mm.”
