ICCONS has earnt a stellar reputation when it comes to being an Aussie brand that delivers long-lasting mechanical and adhesive anchors. However, its latest launch has well and truly broken the mould for how a brand such as this delivers for tradies.
ANCHOR ARMOUR isn’t just ICCONS extensive range of screw bolts and adhesives. It serves as a platform for all levels of users to get the most out of their ICCONS products.

Anchor Armour provides users with a specialised service that delivers exclusive offerings and benefits to tradies, and it’s an invaluable resource for anyone who uses ICCONS products – from dealers right down to the everyday tradie.
But Anchor Armour wouldn’t be the terrific service it is without ICCONS’ elite adhesives, which we were lucky enough to test. For this Tradie Tough Test, we hit up our mate Kiran Medidhi with DH Steel at a site in Berwick, Melbourne, and went through three of the most popular ICCONS adhesives: Pure-Epoxy GEN3; Hybrid GEN2; and PolyPRO GEN2.
TEST #1: STUCK ON YOU
When it comes to fixing rebar or threaded rod into cracked or non-cracked concrete, you need something that lasts the test of time. How about 100 years? That should just about do it.
The Pure Epoxy GEN3 and Hybrid GEN2 come with ICCONS’ 100-year design life approval, meaning they have the strength and stamina to go the distance. This peace of mind is massive for tradies who’ll know their anchoring jobs will hold long after they’ve hung up the tools. Each of these adhesives are specially designed for different applications.
The PolyPRO Gen 2 is perfect for threaded rod going into concrete, brick or block. It’s ideal for seismic anchoring, post-installed rebar or retrofitting to concrete, and for projects like high-rises or new structures where there’s tonnes of anchoring, the Pure Epoxy GEN3 is perfect for long-lasting stability.
Hybrid GEN2 is your jack-of-all-trades adhesive, suitable for cracked or non-cracked concrete fixing with threaded rod or rebar. It’s a mix between fast-cure Vinylester with the strength of an epoxy. In short: it’s bloody strong and has a massive range of uses.
The PolyPRO Gen2 is the fastest setting of the three, and is perfect for threaded rod going into concrete, brick or block. It’s approved for use in wet and water flooded holes as well as cracked or non-cracked concrete. This is a perfect adhesive for medium load jobs.
Kiran tested out all three of these bad boys and had no trouble with application.
