The first new HiAce in 15 years is about to hit Aussie worksites. The iconic van has been completely transformed with a new semi-bonneted design that’ll suit everyone from commercial, private, corporate and fleet buyers, through to those needing a work van during the week and a holiday wagon on Saturdays and Sundays.

A light-filled and ergonomically inspired layout places all the controls and handy storage spaces just where they’re needed, and Toyota Safety Sense1 (TSS) comes standard across the range. This includes:
- Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS) with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection – senses and takes action in case of potential danger ahead,
- Lane Depar ture Aler t (LDA) – warns should you inadvertently drift out of your lane,
- Automatic High Beam (AHB) – dips the headlights as another vehicle approaches, and
- Road Sign Assist (RSA) – can detect certain speed signs you may miss.
- Additional Safety features include:
- Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – warns when a vehicle is in the blind spot on the open road,
- Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – warns of vehicles approaching from either side when reversing out of a parking spot,

High-tech HiAce
Working with the latest technology is no longer the exclusive domain of office dwellers. HiAce is equipped with all the smart thinking needed to make a long day a little lighter.
A 7″ touchscreen display includes Satellite navigation2, AM/FM/digital radio3/ CD audio and AUX and USB input3 plus Bluetooth®3,4 connectivity, and a selection of steering-wheel mounted controls – including telephone, audio, cruise control and Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – mean the driver has virtually all they need right at the tips of their fingers. You can also connect compatible iPhones®5 to receive Siri®5 Eyes Free, a mobile assistant function which performs Siri voice commands, allowing the user to access functions via a compatible device such as:
- Setting reminders or alarms,
- Checking or adding calendar appointments, and

HiAce line up
Australia’s hardest-working van offers plenty of options, like:
- LWB (long wheel base) van which comes with a choice of V6 petrol or four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
- LWB Crew van has a second row of seats, meaning it can carry up to 4 passengers and driver and is available exclusively with the 2.8L turbo diesel engine, automatic transmission only.
- SLWB (super long wheel base) van provides up to 9.3 cubic metres of cargo space and has the option of petrol or turbo diesel power.
- Commuter has 12 seats in total and with all the creature comforts, such as reclining seats, rear air conditioning with a vent for each passenger and interior LED lights.
