As far as seeing the latest tools goes, tradies won’t do much better than Carpentry Expo.

Australia’s first and only exhibition dedicated wholly to the carpentry industry will be co-hosted by Carpentry Australia and Prime Creative Media.

Not only will chippies get a chance to check out cutting-edge tools, but they’ll also have a chance to chat with industry experts, and learn how to grow their skills.

“The Carpentry Expo is where tradition meets innovation—uniting generations of carpenters to celebrate skill, strength, and opportunity,” Carpentry Australia Head of Development Nathan Quinn said.

“It’s a place to connect, learn, and grow, ensuring the future of our industry is stronger, smarter, and more sustainable than ever before.”

When it comes to evolving the power tool landscape, Senco is at the forefront.

Nailed in

Both in name and nature; SENCO’s EVOLVE series mark a new era in cordless tool tech.

The range includes the F35XP 34° Framing Nailer and the F15XP 15 Gauge DA Bradder, both delivering the power of a pneumatic tool without the need for cords or gas.

These epic tools can shoot up to 30,000 nails per chamber refill and 700 nails per battery charge, with fast recharge times for both the battery and air chamber. Each nailer comes with two interchangeable Li-ion batteries (4.0Ah for the Framing Nailer and 2.0Ah for the Bradder).

The Framing Nailer charges 80 per cent in just 40 minutes, while the Bradder charges in only 15 minutes. Re-filling the air cylinder is quick and easy, simply attach any compressed air hose (like a tyre hose) to the chamber, and it’s ready to go in just 30 seconds. With no need for gas cells, tradies can save up to 50 per cent on operating costs and avoid time-consuming maintenance like cleaning combustion chambers.

The Evolve Framing Nailer (F-35XP) is perfect for framing, subflooring, fencing, and decking, offering a punching power up to 108 joules.

For a spin

Meanwhile, SENCO’s unique Duraspin DS530-M1 auto-feed screwdriver attachment delivers unmatched speed and precision, making it a must-have tool for tradies.

Ideal for tasks like decking, subflooring, plasterboard installation, and cladding, this attachment outperforms competitors thanks to its unique feed-on-return feature. The DS530-M1 Easily attaches to a cordless or corded screw driver, providing a seamless setup for professionals.

Designed for use with or without an extension pole, the Duraspin is perfect for standing applications, offering excellent line-of-sight even in tight corners. Its sliding screw guide helps prevent binding, ensuring smooth, jam-free operation with continuous screw feeding. For precise, consistent driving, the Duraspin also includes a depth lock feature that allows for
quick and easy depth adjustments, ensuring flush or countersink screws every time.
