Support Aussie Tradies!!

Support Aussie Tradies and your income. Buy Aussie Made.

As we featured in What Tradies Want issue 15, supporting Aussie manufacturers is one way of supporting your own income. By encouraging local manufacturers, Tradies remain employed, supply is reduced and wages go up!

ARB 4×4 accessories and East Coast Bullbars are two great examples of this as we profiled in the April Issue. Another great example is ENZED, distributors of Parker Hannafin’s hydraulic hose.

Mobile hydraulic hose and connector specialist ENZED is proudly supporting local jobs and industry in challenging times by using products made by the only hydraulic hose manufacturer in Australia – Parker Hannifin.

Parker’s state-of-the-art facility at Wodonga in rural Victoria is now the hub of the company’s manufacturing activities throughout the Australasian region, after recent expansion of its production facilities and a significant increase in its product range.

The 11,000 square metre factory, which employs more than 100 people, is registered with the ‘Australian Made, Australian Grown’ campaign and is licensed to display its Federal Government-approved logo.

The plant produces a wide range of products used by ENZED field technicians in the servicing and repair of industrial plant equipment.

These include hydraulic hose, PVC hose and steel fittings, brass and stainless steel fittings, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, gear pumps, control valves and manifolds.

The plant is also producing a comprehensive range of PVC hose and fittings after Parker relocated its Adelaide plant to Wodonga in mid-2011.

Parker Wodonga also has a new in-house plating service, offering plating and dispatch within 24 hours. Its environmentally friendly Chromium 6 Free plating process offers unrivalled rust and corrosion protection.

The facility has also developed a ‘Rapid Response’ service for customers that can quote, design, manufacture and plate product to meet short lead-times.

This premium service is available for steel, brass or stainless steel fittings and is unmatched by any competitor.

“Parker Wodonga’s significant expansion in recent months is a real vote of confidence in the strength of Australian manufacturing and the quality of its employees,” said Parker Hannifin’s Localization Manager – Fluid Connectors, Greg Dingle.

“The Wodonga team has grown 50 per cent in the past six months. We now have a fully functional engineering team on-site delivering innovation, design, quotations, process improvement and field analysis.
