Knauf Gypsum introduces four new plasterboards for tradies

Knauf Gypsum is set to revolutionise the Australian market with the launch of four high-performance plasterboards: SHEETROCK® PLUS, ImpactStop™, MultiStop™ ONE, and MultiStop™ ONE HI.

The consolidated range, available from October 1, 2025, aims to simplify specification and installation while meeting stringent compliance requirements.

A range of solutions for various applications

The new plasterboard range caters to different needs, including:

  • SHEETROCK® PLUS: A premium residential linings solution offering sound, impact, and water resistance, ideal for family bathrooms, home theatres, and bedrooms.
  • ImpactStop™: A solution delivering impact, fire, and acoustic resistance, suitable for schools, classrooms, and recreational areas.
  • MultiStop™ ONE: A product combining water, fire, acoustic, and mould resistance with high impact performance, perfect for high-traffic retail and education spaces.
  • MultiStop™ ONE HI: A product with even higher impact resistance, featuring a continuous reinforced mesh in the board core.

Sustainability and compliance at the forefront

Knauf’s new range is designed with sustainability in mind, featuring recycled content, local manufacturing, and durability.

The products are rigorously tested, code compliant, and certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA). They also come with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), providing transparency and confidence throughout the design and construction process.

“We’ve considered sustainability at every stage of the product lifecycle,” Knauf National Specifications Manager Kelly Watson said.
“The new boards are designed to meet Green Star and government project performance criteria.”

Streamlined specification and installation

The consolidated range simplifies product selection and site logistics, reducing delivery complexity, storage needs, and installation errors.

Knauf’s engineering and technical team, including architectural specialists in each state, provide support and guidance throughout the project.

“We’ve created a range that’s made for modern builds where functionality, compliance, and sustainability are non-negotiable,” Knauf Gypsum Australia Managing Director George Mamic said.
“Building professionals can now achieve the required performance standards using just one or two fit-for-purpose premium plasterboard products.”
