A 2017 GXR 200-Series Cruiser — a twin-locked, remapped 4.5 V8 TD that’s every bit the outback beast. The last thing he wants is water or debris ruining a motor worth tens of thousands.
On the road
Out on the forest tracks of Noojee in eastern Victoria, Zac put the Ryco Fuel Water Separator Kit to work.
Designed to remove 98.7 per cent of water and debris before fuel reaches critical engine components, the kit helps ensure the Cruiser stays in top shape — even when running questionable regional fuel.
“It gives you peace of mind that if you do have crummy fuel, it’s not going to destroy your motor,” Zac said.

Zac wired it into his 12V cigarette port with no drilling or extra cables required. “It was really easy to hook this up and connect my phone,”
he said.
“If you have a smartphone and use apps, you can use this.”
Catching the bad stuff
Zac also fitted Ryco’s Universal Catch Can Kit, a simple upgrade that helps prevent crankcase gases from contaminating the engine’s air intake system.
“That catch can helps save all that extra oil going back into the intake of the engine,” Zac said.
