How WBT helped restore 1972 Gordini

1972 Gordini owner credits WBT for bringing the goods when it comes to vehicle restoration.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a classic car restored, especially when you had a hand in its restoration.
That was the case for Warren & Brown Tools at the Motorclassica where the power of its Deflecting Beam Torque Wrench was on full display. John Sanders had been restoring a 1972 Renault 12 Gordini Coupe/Sedan/African Safari Rally Spec, with his go-to tool the unrivalled WB Tools Deflecting Beam Torque Wrench.

The car debuted in 1972 for Australia and Renault at the East African Safari Rally. Since its rugged savannah-racing days, John has spent 42 years putting it through a bare-shell restoration. John said through that time, it was the WB Tools Deflecting Beam Torque Wrench that helped him rejuvenate the exterior and add some firepower under the hood in the form of a Renault Gordini 807-G uprated engine. “When it comes to torque wrenches it’s simple, beamed John.
“Warren & Brown is the way to go.” Motorheads have been using WBT torque wrenches for decades due to their unbeaten precision of +/-2 per cent and incredible shelf life.•
