Fishing the Northern Territory

When it comes to the Northern Territory barra fishing has always hogged the fishing media. There is no doubting that barra are good fun but there is so much more on offer in the Top End.

The turquoise waters of the Arafura Sea are loaded with miles upon miles of coral reefs, islands and bommies which are all loaded with fish. Better still, much of it is untouched -almost virgin fishing grounds. This unique environment is home to an amazing array of species from high speed pelagics like spanish mackerel, to heavy weight GT’s, golden snapper and massive black jewfish. Then there are the cobia and sailfish, barracuda and even black marlin which are also on the cards.
