After a ripping start to Harley-Davidson’s Custom Kings Competition, we’ve seen over 5,000 votes to crown the king of custom Harley-Davidson across Australia and New Zealand.

Custom Kings’ submission phase saw entrants enter their bikes into the Vintage, Evolution, Twin Cam, and Milwaukee Eight categories, celebrating the many generations of Harley-Davidson powerplant’s over the company’s rich 122-year history.

Crowning a King

Round 1 – Vintage – featured customised Knuckleheads, Panheads, Ironheads and Shovelheads. After thorough deliberation, Sean Connolly took home the number one spot with his hand-built Shovelhead chopper, which he spent half a decade perfecting prior to the Custom Kings.

Not only is this hand fabricated bike built to look good, but it’s racked up over 35,000km riding across Australia many times, a true credit to Sean’s fabrication skills.

With round 2 – Evolution – well underway, the competition is heating up.

It’ll all come to a head on April 15th, where Sean’s bike will go up against the anticipated three round winners and Custom Kings’ esteemed international judging panel will decide the overall winner.
