Dig in at Diesel Dirt and Turf 2023

There’s a lesson to be learned from our local restaurant strips and night spots. It’s no surprise people tend to gather where there’s a choice of bars, eateries and music venues. People enjoy being in the company of others seeking similar experiences or sharing the fun.
As well as the social aspect, this proximity enables quick comparisons of what is being offered. It’s the same with industry events, expos and other occasions where competitive offerings are located in an easily accessible location. This concentration of choices makes it easy for visitors to check out all the options.

A one-stop shop

At the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo (DDT) visitors can compare technology, equipment and services, and the buzz of mixing with like-minded people is a huge attraction of this major event.
Large crowds of people who come from the earthmoving, construction, grounds maintenance, safety, financial services, asset-management, transport and material-handling industries visit the expo to make informed purchasing decisions.
When there are so many suppliers in the one place, it makes a lot of sense to visit Australia’s largest construction expo. For contractors, trade suppliers, or those just wanting to know what equipment and productivity solutions are out there, the expo allows comparing the value of offerings at your own pace.

What type of companies exhibit at DDT?

Associate sponsor Pickles Auctions has been a major supporter of the event for many years and stages a huge Saturday afternoon auction which draws big crowds who eagerly snap up the lots on offer. Another example is Delta Equipment, supplier of the Italian-made FEMAC S5 Hydraulic Skid Steer Mulcher attachment designed for standard and high-flow skid steers and tracked loaders to clear firebreaks, brush, trails, road edges, park maintenance and tall vegetation. Delta also has the Probst Round Pipe Grab RG75125 SAFELOCK attachment which allows large concrete pipes to be safely and efficiently moved, placed and set.

Norm Engineering is a foundation exhibitor and has seen successful growth through its presence. The Norm Engineering four-in-one bucket has been built to withstand tough local conditions. It will help to scoop and carry soil, with wide-opening jaws allowing easy dumping. The buckets have been designed with an extra heavy-duty flat floor, making them stronger, and easier to fill and empty, compared to the conventional tip floor design.

Every productivity solution

There are financial and insurance leaders such as Credit One Finance, Finlease Australia, SatisFinance, Shannons and AEI Insurance brokers on site, and the event is also well represented by exhibitors specialising in fleet management and maintenance, industry recruitment and specialised lubricants suppliers such as Anglomoil and Prolube. Other exhibitors offer solutions in material handling, safety, equipment hire, equipment trailers, trucks and hydraulics, haul trucks and specialised road equipment.
There are professional tools from suppliers such as Repco Commercial, and plenty of tyres, equipment tracks and surface protection, access platforms, couplers and tilt rotators. Adding to the list are agricultural and open-space management equipment, mowers, trenchers and slashers.
Expo Manager Marti Zivkovich said, “Sponsors like gold sponsor Komatsu, Earthmovers & Excavators and Trade Earthmovers magazine gold media sponsorship have played a major role in the development of the expo. “Associate sponsors are Norm Engineering, Pickles, Earthmoving Equipment Magazine, XCMG, What-If and Record TIME.”
